The 2025 Mahakumbh, to be held in Prayagraj, is set to be the largest religious gathering in the world, with an estimated attendance of around 40 crore devotees over 45 days. The central and Uttar Pradesh governments have made this possible with a budget allocation of ₹12,670 crore.

- Venue and Area: A temporary district spread over 4,000 hectares has been created in Prayagraj.
- Security: More than 50,000 police personnel have been deployed.
- Transportation: Over 13,000 trains and 250 flights will be available for the event.
- Medical Facilities: A 100-bed hospital, two sub-center hospitals with 20 beds each, and 25 medical centers have been established.

The organizers of Mahakumbh aim to set four world records:
- The largest parade of electric vehicles.
- The biggest river cleaning campaign.
- The most handprints created on paintings within eight hours.
- The largest synchronized sweeping campaign conducted anywhere in the world.
Attractions:
The Mahakumbh will feature performances by various celebrities and artists, including Shankar Mahadevan, Kailash Kher, Sonu Nigam, Vishal Bhardwaj, and Shreya Ghoshal. Additionally, there will be singing and sessions by poets, classical singers, dancers, musicians, writers, and lyricists.
To ensure that devotees have every possible facility, the government and administration have made extensive preparations. The roads connecting the Sangam area to the airport and railway station have been renovated, and Project Beautify Prayagraj is being run to beautify the city’s walls.
